Claudia Dressler
Director Munich
What I have done…
From an early age, I was passionate about traveling, the hotel business and communication. After my studies at hotel management schools in Switzerland and Germany, my studies at the FH Munich and my studies at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising, I worked for the Arabella Hotel Group in the field of marketing and communication. My interest in global companies in the hotel and travel industry led me to step into the world of PR agencies. In the following years I worked as a senior PR consultant/management partner for clients from the tourism industry such as hotel groups, airlines, travel companies, real estate developments and show and entertainment. In 2008 I took over the Munich office of the PRCO Group as managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and was responsible for strategic consulting for international luxury hotel groups and luxury real estate developments for 11 years before I joined GCE.
What I do now…
As director of GCE’s Munich office, I am responsible for setting up and developing the agency’s office in Munich. The development of tailor-made and individual integrated communication strategies and their implementation with the GCE team are among my most important tasks. The rapidly changing world of travel and communication also requires continuous observation of trends and the associated expectations of the 21st century globetrotters to advise out customers in a timely and forward-thinking manner.
What I do for fun…
I live my passion for travel, different cultures, culinary art, and special experiences not only in my job, but also in my private life. I am a passionate cook who always likes to try something new and loves to entertain friends in a beautiful ambiance. Otherwise, I try not to break my bones while skiing and to keep my golf handicap and, above all, to have fun doing both.
What I bring to GCE…
30 years of experience in the hotel and travel industry, strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to develop new ideas in a team, which may also lie outside the usual thought patterns. An established international network within the industry and long-standing contacts in the media landscape in German-speaking Europe, which I use for GCE and our customers.
