What I have done…

During my trainee programme with Deutsche Lufthansa AG in Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg and New York I also worked for major editing houses and news agencies. Following this, I spent four years with Lufthansa working in corporate communications dealing with sponsorship, before deciding to move into the agency side of business. I became Managing Director at a leading German tourism PR agency where I advised more than 250 clients before establishing GCE in 2009. Since its conception we have built a portfolio of leading clients both domestic and international, and developed travel sales and marketing methods to position and sell tourism industry products from all sectors, including destinations, airlines and airports, hotels and hotel chains, car rental companies, GDS, cruise companies, tour operators, travel agencies and fairs.

What I do now…

As Managing Partner of a Frankfurt based communication and sales & marketing agency, I head an energetic team of almost 30 employees and freelancers, work on our key accounts and strategy, and expand our partner network. As Board Member of the global agency network, The Pangaea Network, which I co-founded 10 years ago, I also ensure that GCE continues to be a guiding force in the global travel industry.

What I do for fun…

When I am not in the office, you will find me on my bicycle, on the golf course or in the fitness studio. In winter, I love to visit art museums and galleries, and I also enjoy the cinema. Good food and wine is not seasonal, it is my favourite pastime year round. My interest in new destinations and people initially drew me to the tourism industry, and my enthusiasm for these things has only increased over the years.

I bring 30 years travel industry experience and key contacts at the sharp end of both media and trade. My guidance, vision for the future and excitement for travel and tourism have helped the company grow very fast and create a great reputation for GCE.
