Jérôme Poulalier
Director Trade and MICE
What I have done…
After studying English and German combined with business administration at the University of Grenoble, I´ve spent many years working for tourism organizations and was able to successfully market the travel and MICE destination France in Germany for the last 16 years (at Atout France, the French tourism agency). During this time I´ve set up strategy and BtoB marketing plans for the most important French regions in the German market.
What I do now…
I am in charge of promoting the destinations Ras Al Khaimah, Québec, Monaco and St Martin/St Maarten. In addition, I supervise all trade projects within the agency. Another aspect of my work is the expansion of the customer portfolio.
What I do for fun…
Besides my passion for numerous outdoor sports (cycling, hiking, climbing, canyoning, skiing, etc.) I am a real gourmet and wine lover. I enjoy cooking for family or friends and wine tasting. I also have a strong interest in architecture, culture, art and design. Through tourism, one can deepen the diversity of these topics.
What I bring to GCE…
I have been dealing with the German outbound market for a long time and maintain close relations with the most important players in the MICE and tourism industries. I’ve also been very active in the Destinations Circle network for seven years and committed to improve the relationships between all the representatives s of foreign tourism boards based in Germany. With great enthusiasm and full commitment, I’m involved with GCE since September 2019 towards the success of our current and future customers.
