What I have done…
After my school education as a foreign language secretary with the languages English and Spanish I decided to do an apprenticeship as a travel agent in the tour operator sector. During my training I was able to visit many new destinations and get to know the exciting world of the travel industry. After the apprenticeship I did an internal training as Junior Product Manager, where I could intensify my knowledge. I always had an urge to write and deal with destinations. For these reasons I decided to do marketing. As a Marketing Manager I was responsible for the destinations Asia, Africa, Australia/New Zealand/Pacific and Middle East for 5 years. I was able to make many exciting contacts and acquire the corresponding know-how in marketing. After a total of 9 years with the tour operator, I decided to work in the destination representation with the focus on PR, communication and marketing.
What I do now…
I support the team as Account Manager for the Spanish-speaking destinations such as Costa Rica, Valencia and the Balearic Islands.
What I do for fun…
Even as a child I loved to travel. Either alone halfway around the world to visit my family in the USA or exciting summer vacations in Europe- and the thirst for adventure is still not satisfied. I think that you just can’t get enough of this fascinating world. That’s why I always want to get to know new countries and cultures. For example the dream beaches of the Indian Ocean, the Caribbean lifestyle or as an absolute highlight the South Pacific with Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti.
What I bring to GCE…
The desire to get to know destinations and market them and the passion of copywriting. I also have professional experience in the tour operator and agency sector and I am a happy personality who loves to work in a team.
